Following are the pick-up points & timings:
An overnight bus journey of 300 km commences from Bangalore to Coorg. We shall have a brief orientation followed by a fun-filled ice-breaking session where you will get to know your fellow trekkers better.
After our night’s journey, we will reach our campsite. Situated on the east, the campsite is located amidst lush green tea plantations and offers travelers great views of the majestic mountain ranges. Facing east also means watching the golden light spread across the vast blue skies at dawn! Yes, the sunrise is indeed beautiful. We shall freshen up and after a warm and delicious breakfast that consists of the local cuisine, we shall start our nature hike.
On our hike, we shall traverse through the reserved forest, that connects one to the tribal village. Experience and witness this place, and dwell among the aesthetics of nature. On our hike back to the campsite, we shall walk through trails of lush tea plantations! You sure are hungry by now, be ready to have a great meal once we get back to the campsite.
Post lunch, we shall go and visit the hidden waterfall. After a steep descent down the tea plantations, and a leisurely walk beside the river, the trail would ultimately lead us to our destination. This hidden gem of a place is the ideal place to take a dip and refresh your minds and quench your wanderlust! “Brrr”, cold and awesome isn’t it? Followed by this, we return to the campsite and enjoy a hearty dinner. We have some fun activities planned for you, so be ready for surprises! Lastly, we shall end the day under the starry sky, gazing at a thousand twinkling stars!
Wake up to the slanting light of the sun rising lazily amidst the soaring clouds. Watch the dawn break and light up the daunting blue peaks. Post breakfast, we shall pack and depart from our campsite. We have a picturesque viewpoint of mountain ranges and a seasonal waterfall (far behind the mountains) planned on our way back. Don’t forget to click your best pictures for your Instagram feed!
What is Nilgiris without the essence of tea? A visit to the local tea factory is a must. Well, we have that too on our list. It’s time to understand chai! After our visit to the factory, we shall bid our farewell to this hilly town and start our return journey back to Bangalore and reach by night (1opm).
