How about we ditch the mainstream touristy places and literally take a walk in nature to breathe its fresh air while marveling at the scenic beauty? We are also talking about a long weekend getaway from Bangalore hustle and bustle.

We bring to you a three day getaway from the city to the mountainous ranges of the Western Ghats which is a treasure house of biodiversity and includes a variety of flora and fauna. The monsoons are considered the best time to visit. Included are the Kodachadri trek, the famous Jog Falls, and the beautiful Sharavati Valley.

Kodachadri is nestled deep in the Western ghats and is a combination of lush green meadows, jungle trails, cascading waterfalls, and the view of the scattered clouds from above the peak. The jog falls being the tallest waterfalls of India is a sight to behold. The western ghats give rise to the Sharavati river which falls from a height of 829 feet to form the four majestic cascades Raja, Rani, Roarer, and Rocket.

The Sharavati valley also located in the Western ghats lets you indulge in the luscious flora and fauna. Lastly, we shall also visit the temples of Devagange, Ikkeri, and Kelladi. As a part of promoting local travel, we have come up with a few places which not only take you back in time while exploring the ancient architecture and temples.

A small natural stream flows into the horse-shoe shaped valley which forms the ponds at Devagange. Ikkeri and Keladi are historical villages a few km down from Sagara. Whilst being the capital during the reign of the Keladi/Ikkeri Nayakas, it has a temple complex built in the Hoysala-Dravidian style of architecture which is both intricate works as well as beautiful.

We are keeping in mind and adhering to all the safety regulations and precautions to be taken as per the government against COVID 19.
