Following are the pick-up points & timings:
We start the day with breakfast and set out to leave for the beautiful Palchuram falls. A jeep ride up leads us to the falls which cascade fascinatingly from deep inside the jungle. After a short hike with a small trail through the forests, we are presented with the beautiful waterfalls which are a less explored wonder. The falls drop down and form a small pond upon seeing which you’ll want to jump right into it! We will come back down and head over to the campsite for lunch.
After relaxing for a while at the camp, we shall start our trek to Muneeswaran hills. Covered with lush paddy fields and tea and coffee plantations, Muneeswaran hills offer a great sunset along with a splendid view of the clouds. The greenery, the sunset, and the clouds are a joy to watch if you are a nature lover which will definitely make your day leaving your mind at utmost peace. After the sunsets, we shall descend back down, head back to the camp to start preparing ourselves for an offbeat New Year eve. A bonfire and dinner followed by a unique new year celebration will conclude our 2019 and we enter into the new year!
We wake up early in the morning and get started with our day. After freshening up and having a good breakfast, we leave for Kannur which is approximately a 50km journey. On reaching Kannur we spend the day exploring the beaches and forts! Kannur is home to a number of beaches, all of which are beautifully leaving us confused about where to go!
Muzhappilangad Drive-In Beach is the longest Drive-In Beach in India and is featured among the top 6 best beaches for driving in the world, and also considered as the longest drive-in beach in Asia. We start by visiting the Angelo fort which faces the Arabian Sea is a standing architecture of what the Portuguese Viceroy, Don Francesco de Almedia built-in 1505. Its primary attractions are the view of the Mopilla Bay and Dharamadam island. Next, we shall drive over to see the Muzhappilangad Beach and play with the waves.
After a very productive day spent on exploring the Kannur region of the state, we board the bus leaving for Bangalore. The beach plus nature exploration would definitely leave you pumped up and motivated to start your new year as we reach Bangalore!
