If you are a person who loves to challenge their mind and body, the Kumara Parvatha trek is perfect for you! It is considered one of the more difficult treks in the South. But there’s no gain without some pain, so get ready to push yourself a little bit and we will be there to motivate you along the way till the top. Reach the top to witness the beautiful clouds along with the green landscapes of the Western ghats.
A landscape filled with lush green, pristine streams, volcanic rock formations, Kumara Parvata is a place in the bucket list of every trekker and traveler. It is the second-highest peak after Tadiandamol in the Coorg region. Trekking in summers can sometimes get too tiring and sweaty, but the tall trees of the dense forests of the Western ghats provide a natural umbrella shielding you from the harsh rays of the sun, letting you enjoy and experience the best of nature. We will be ascending through the Somwarpet side and descending in the same way.
Note: The Kumara Parvatha Trek to and fro trail is from Somvarpet Side and not from Kukke Subramanya Side. Please note this prior to booking

Kumara Parvatha Trek (19-20 Oct 2019)
Completed this extremely arduous trek with relatively lesser pain because of the excellent organisation of the trek and the help, support and camaraderie provided by the three Trek Leads, Dhruv, Piyush and Geetanjali. All the three leads are thorough professionals who are able to meld their professionalism with an infectious enthusiasm and innocence whoich faclilites them in becoming one with group and enjoy each and eveny moment of strife, pain and joy with each and every participant. Everyone comes back with a feeling that he was individually cared for and looked after. Kudos to the PTU organisation and each and every one of their trek leads. I have been on 5 treks till date with PTU and with different leads in every one of them. While the terrain and thedifficulty levels of these treks differed…one thing was always constant…the detailed planning, great trek leads and very personalized experience that they provide for each and individual in the group. Thanks to them, the group always wins together…each and every time !

Thank you for making it seem easier. Big thumbs up to PTU and the trek leads.
I trekked to Kumara Parvatha with PTU. The trek was very well planned. The guys were amazing from the start. On time pick ups and making sure we were all fed and comfortable on the bus ride. Once we started the trek, they kept encouraging to keep moving forward and made sure no one was left behind. At one point trek lead Piyush was even carrying bags that were not his. All the trek leads Dhruv, Piyush and Geethanjali were real sweet, approachable and helpful. Big thumbs up to PTU and the trek leads.
One draw back was tents. There was a rainfall, and the water seeped inside the tent drenching our sleeping bags.
